Lilly has loved to read ever since she was a little girl. Her parents, teachers and many siblings, helped her to learn and advance in her reading skills. Although she has always loved to read, it was not always easy for her. It took a very long time for Lilly to be able to actually comprehend what it was she was reading. With much practice and lots of help, eventually she got better. I guess this goes to show, that the only way to get better at something, is to practice. Now Lilly is able to read an entire book cover to cover in only a few short day and understand everything that has happened in it. Lilly is the type of person who hates being told what to read or write, so when she is forced to read a book she doesn't get as engaged as she would have, had it been her choice. Lilly's most preferred type's of books would be action. Something where there is thrill and adventure around every page. She cannot stand love stories, there just not for her. As most people in this world, Lilly has many responsibilities in her life that take up a lot of time. Unfortunately this means that she finds it hard to carve out time to read. During the school year Lilly focuses on her school work, choir, and sports. However, this doesn't mean she never reads. Lilly keeps track of all the books she would like to read during the school year, then reads them all in the summer. Lilly values the opinions of others, and their novel recommendations, but she prefers to find stuff out for herself. Reading is so important in our world. Reading gives people knowledge, and it can fun too. Lilly believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to read, because it is a way to escape your own life and be able to get a new perspective by looking through the eyes of someone else.
From a very young age, Lilly loved to write. She would write long stories about almost anything she could think of and put some sort of crazy twist on it. Lilly learned her basic writing skills the same place most other people did, in school. In fact, Lilly got in trouble a lot for writing during class when she was supposed to be focusing on other work. Writing is important for everyone, but it is even more important for the people who are not very good at expressing themselves in a verbal or social manner. Writing is a fun way to express yourself, escape the world you're in, all while putting your opinion and views out into the world. You can't be wrong with writing because it's an art, if it's your's then it's right. As Lilly grew up she found less and less time to write. Eventually it got to the point when she did not write stories at all anymore. Lilly loves to write in school, because she has designated time to sit down and write. She does not write as much as she wishes, she does keep a dram journal which is substantial enough to satisfy her love of writing. When she has a dream or nightmare, Lilly will wake up and write it down. It's not quite as fun as writing a fiction adventure novel, but it suffices her love of the art. Lilly believes that writing is something to be given to all. Everyone should be able to have a basic knowledge of how to write, then advance how they want. Nobody should be forced to write about something they don't believe in or appreciate. Writing should be free.
